Drive With Me

I shot this in Curacao as well. I didn't use a car mount, although I do want one. What I did was, I rigged up my tripod so that it was basically wedged into the front seat. Then I used towels to buffer all the small movements.

The song is by Phoenix, I thought it was perfect because all he talks about is wanting to be either in the water or sailing on it. While driving around it would get so hot. As you can tell, the land is pretty dry so all you want to do is just jump into the water. So I decided to use it in this vid.
Enjoy.

A Project By Blu

This is a stop motion video I found of a very cool street artist who calls himself Blu. I first saw his work in Kreuzberg, Berlin and filmed some of his stuff there. I thought this vid was pretty neat and definitely something I would want to try out one day.

Sailing Into the Sunset

This is a video I shot in Curacao with my Sony A1U and a wide angle lens. I had convinced a local fisherman to take me around the western coast and he was more than happy to do so. When he pulled up on his boat I was surprised and a little concerned; it was no more than 10 feet in length. The entire time I was filming I kept my camera covered with a towel (except for the lens of course). Given the size of the boat anything that passed us by would send us bumping up and down in its wake.

I edited this particular piece for UpTake's beach blog. I usually color correct most of my pieces but this time I just white balanced it.
